Santa Mónica Suites Hotel, the first hotel in the Canary Islands to collaborate with the Las Palmas Food Bank (Banco de Alimentos de Las Palmas).

After months of study in collaboration with the Las Palmas Food Bank and with the approval from the Canary Islands Government Health Ministry (Canarias Saludable), this important social initiative has been launched for the benefit of the needy on the island.

It should be pointed out that last year, the Las Palmas Food Bank distributed 4,256,000 kilos of food that were distributed among 19,721 people who are being served monthly through 129 charities.

In Gran Canary, the Las Palmas Food Bank manages 35 soup kitchens on a daily basis.
